Park Utsav Begins with Enthusiasm and Entertainment in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Park Utsav, part of the Ekamra Utsav organized by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), began today with energy and enthusiasm across five city parks. As a key event celebrating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025, the Utsav focuses on promoting health and cultural engagement, drawing residents and visitors alike.

At Forest Park, the day kicked off with a Zumba session at 6:30 AM, led by instructor Anandita Parida. Energized by popular tracks such as Bate Bate, Limbo, and Danza Kuduro, participants of all ages danced their way to fitness.

Following the lively Zumba, attendees shifted to rejuvenating yoga sessions featuring practices like Bhastrika, Bhramari, and Bahya Pranayama. Yoga instructor Kalpana guided the participants at Forest Park, while similar sessions led by Sonalisha Panda and Kumar Mayur energized attendees at Indira Gandhi Park. Simultaneously, wellness activities were conducted at Buddha Jayanti Park, Madhusudan Park, and Abdul Kalam Park, ensuring the city’s parks buzzed with activity.

The afternoon programs, beginning at 3:30 PM, transformed the parks into hubs of entertainment and culture. Activities included:

  • Storytelling sessions inspired by Odisha’s rich folklore.
  • Creative workshops, such as Best Out of Waste, Paper Craft, and engaging Magic Shows.
  • Interactions with Ollywood celebrities, offering a glimpse into the regional film industry.

Ollywood star Archita Sahu stole the spotlight with her charismatic presence, engaging the audience with trending songs, heartfelt interactions, and insights into her career. Live music performances by talented local singers added to the lively ambiance, creating a perfect winter evening under illuminated park lights.

The Park Utsav will continue until January 12, with sessions scheduled daily from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. From fitness enthusiasts to culture lovers, the event offers something for everyone.
