Palace on Wheels Expands Its Luxurious Journey to Ayodhya with Religious Tours

Jaipur: The renowned luxury train, Palace on Wheels, famed as the world’s second most luxurious train, is set to alter its route after 42 years to include a spiritual voyage to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Starting from May, Palace on Wheels will introduce religious tours on its six-day itinerary, commencing from Delhi and traversing through Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Vrindavan.

Officials from Palace on Wheels announced the adjustment to the journey, emphasizing the incorporation of religious excursions to sacred destinations. During these religious trips, a departure from the norm will be seen as non-vegetarian fare and alcoholic beverages are removed from the train’s menu, considering the diverse preferences of both foreign and domestic travelers.

To cater to local tourists’ preferences, the religious tour will be organized twice a month, providing flexibility for travelers who wish to embark on specific segments of the journey, such as Ayodhya or Prayagraj. Special discounts will be offered for these tailored trips.

Palace on Wheels aims to enhance the spiritual experience by modifying its offerings, ensuring that passengers receive food sans non-vegetarian options, onion, and garlic during these unique religious tours.
