Bhubaneswar: The State government disclosed on Wednesday that a total of 6,283,012 farmers have been enlisted in the KALIA Yojana since its initiation.

In response to an unstarred question from Prafulla Samal (BJD), Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain informed the State Assembly that the KALIA Yojana has included 43,88,238 small and marginal farmers, along with 18,94,774 landless farmers.

Minister Swain stated that arrangements have been made for farmers not on the list to apply through the dedicated portal, www.kalia.odisha.gov.in, providing all necessary documents to access the benefits.

Highlighting the inclusivity of the scheme, Swain emphasized that all small, marginal, and landless farmers have the opportunity to apply online for each installment of the KALIA scheme for the next 90 days.

According to the census, Odisha has a total of 48.66 lakh operational holdings, consisting of 36.37 lakh marginal farmers, 8.87 lakh small farmers, 3.38 lakh medium farmers, and 0.04 lakh large farmers.
