OSRTC Inaugurates Modern Office Canteen at Paribahan Bhavan

Bhubaneswar: Strengthening its focus on employee welfare, the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) on Thursday inaugurated a modern and well-equipped office canteen at its Corporate Office, Paribahan Bhavan, in the city.

The facility was formally inaugurated by Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, in the presence of N. B. S. Rajput, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, OSRTC, and Amitav Thakur, Transport Commissioner, State Transport Authority, Odisha.

The new canteen is part of OSRTC’s ongoing efforts to enhance workplace amenities by providing officers and staff with a clean, hygienic and comfortable dining facility within the office परिसर. The initiative aims to improve day-to-day workplace convenience while fostering a healthy and positive work environment.

Developed with modern kitchen infrastructure, the canteen ensures hygienic and efficient food preparation. It features a well-ventilated dining area with ample natural lighting and a seating capacity of over 20 persons. Employees will have access to a varied menu offering popular North and South Indian dishes, covering breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted that the canteen would also function as a shared interaction space, encouraging camaraderie among employees and contributing to better work-life balance.

The office canteen will remain operational from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM on all working days.

Among others present at the inauguration were Saroj Rout, Additional Secretary; Kaustuva Dipta Pany, Joint Secretary & Commissioner (Rail Coordination); Sanjay Kumar Biswal, General Manager, OSRTC; and Debadutta Suranjita Jena, Special Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, along with senior officers of OSRTC and the Commerce & Transport Department.
