Orientation Training for Junior Assistants Begins in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A comprehensive orientation training programme for Junior Assistants commenced on Monday at the State Institute for Women and Children in Bhubaneswar. The event marked the beginning of a structured initiative aimed at enhancing the operational skills of frontline workers involved in the implementation of women and child development schemes.

Presiding over the inauguration, Subha Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Women & Child Development (W&CD) Department, outlined the objectives of the training. Emphasizing its importance, Sharma highlighted that the program is designed to boost the effectiveness of grassroots work. “Junior Assistants play a crucial role in bridging the department’s initiatives and the public. This training is an essential step toward ensuring that our efforts reach every corner effectively,” she said.

Sharma also stressed the value of participant feedback, noting that insights gathered during the training will inform future departmental strategies and planning.

The training programme, scheduled from November 4 to November 27, 2024, will be conducted in four phases. The first phase began with 40 participants from districts including Angul, Balangir, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, and Cuttack. Subsequent phases will cater to Junior Assistants from Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, and more, covering a total of 167 participants.

Each phase of the training spans three days and includes a comprehensive curriculum focused on administrative tasks, accounting, and computerization processes, particularly the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
