Odisha’s Urban Development Department Charts Vision for 2025

Bhubaneswar: The Housing and Urban Development Minister of Odisha, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, has urged officers and staff of the department to embrace the New Year with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication. Addressing a gathering at the Kharavela Bhavan Conference Hall, the Minister highlighted the department’s pivotal role in driving Odisha’s growth and ensuring a brighter future for its citizens.

Dr. Mahapatra emphasized that 2025 presents a unique opportunity to reflect on the state government’s achievements and to prepare for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations. He underlined the importance of showcasing Odisha’s cultural richness and developmental strides on a national platform, urging the team to deliver exemplary results that set new standards of excellence.

“This year is crucial not only for marking one year of our government but also for demonstrating Odisha’s progress to the world during Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. The Housing and Urban Development Department must lead from the front in securing the rights of the underprivileged and advancing our vision of a developed Odisha,” Dr. Mahapatra said.

Principal Secretary Usha Padhee extended a warm welcome to the Minister and provided a detailed account of the department’s accomplishments. She emphasized the importance of teamwork and innovation in achieving the department’s goals, urging the officers to approach their responsibilities with discipline and a forward-looking mindset.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for senior officials, including Special Secretary Rajesh Prabhakar Patil and Director of Municipal Administration Debashish Singh, to reaffirm their commitment to urban development initiatives. They pledged to continue working toward improving the quality of life for citizens and elevating Odisha’s profile on national and international platforms.
