Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) is set to launch Odisha Walks, a series of curated city trails in Cuttack, Puri, and Sambalpur, starting January 2025.
The initiative aims to transform these cities into vibrant urban destinations, enhancing their appeal for tourists and locals alike. “Odisha Walks will celebrate the rich history, natural resources, and infrastructure of these cities, offering an immersive experience for citizens, tourists, and visitors,” OTDC stated in a press release.
The trails will feature thematic routes designed to showcase the unique heritage, stories, and cultural fabric of each city. The trails are planned to operate every weekend during the tourism season until March 2025, providing a consistent platform for exploration and engagement.
To ensure a seamless rollout, OTDC has invited Expressions of Interest from eligible agencies and bidders for the conceptualization and execution of the trails, with a deadline set for December 16. The OTDC has suggested potential trail points and locations, though agencies are encouraged to propose additional spots in consultation with the corporation.
