
Bhubaneswar: Over 100 students from Odisha are all set to embark on a thrilling Winter Adventure Camp in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, scheduled from 27th February to 5th March 2025. The students were officially sent off in a ceremony held at Kalinga Stadium, where they were wished the best of luck for the upcoming adventure by Suryabanshi Suraj, Minister of Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
In his address, Minister Suraj emphasized that the camp will provide students with an enriching experience, enabling them to step outside their comfort zones and develop new skills. He further expressed that the experience will also help students represent Odisha as youth and cultural ambassadors, contributing to their personality development. He hoped the camp would become a memorable and impactful event for everyone involved.
The event was also attended by Prof. Sabita Acharya, Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University, Deepankar Mahapatra, Director of Sports & Youth Services, Bijay Kumar Swain, Additional Secretary, and Ashok Kumar Panda, Additional Secretary, who all extended their support for the initiative.
The Winter Adventure Camp in Manali will expose the students to a variety of activities including trekking, rock climbing, river crossing, river rafting, zip-lining, and more. This camp is not only about adventure but also aims to offer the students a unique experience that contributes to their overall development.
