Odisha Public Service Commission Announces Results of Civil Services Examination 2022

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the much-anticipated results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCS) 2022, with 683 candidates successfully clearing the examination. Swetashree Mohapatra emerged as the top candidate, with five women securing spots among the top ten rank holders.

A significant highlight of this year’s results is the impressive representation of women, with 258 female candidates making it to the final selection list. The OPSC results are available on the official website: www.opsc.gov.in.

The OCS examination is conducted in three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test. The notification for OCS 2022 was issued on 30th December 2022, with a total of 683 vacancies, including 227 reserved for women.

Out of the 92,914 applications received (34,712 from women), 40,586 candidates (14,852 women) appeared for the Preliminary Examination held on 15th October 2023. From these, 8,220 candidates (2,730 women) qualified for the Main Examination, which took place from 25th February to 3rd March 2024. The Main Examination saw participation from 6,639 candidates (2,337 women). Following this, 1,367 candidates (493 women) were shortlisted for Document Verification and Personality Tests, held between 10th September and 7th October 2024.

The final breakdown of selected candidates is as follows:

  • Unreserved Category: 387 (142 women)
  • SEBC: 71 (23 women)
  • SC: 89 (36 women)
  • ST: 136 (57 women)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 14
  • Sportsperson: 1
  • PWD: 23 (5 women)

The successful candidates now look forward to assuming key administrative roles in the state, contributing to Odisha’s governance and development.
