Odisha Prepares for 77th Independence Day: ULBs Urged to Embrace “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign

Bhubaneswar: As the 77th Independence Day approaches, Odisha’s Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are gearing up for celebrations with a renewed spirit of patriotism. In a review meeting held via video conference, Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Usha Padhee, assessed the preparedness of ULBs across the state.

The meeting, which included DMA Debasis Singh, Additional Secretary Rabindra Kumar Sahu, and Commissioners and Executive Officers from all ULBs, including five Municipal Corporations, focused on ensuring that Independence Day celebrations reflect unity and national pride.

Padhee emphasized the significance of celebrating Independence Day with enthusiasm, urging all ULBs to participate actively in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. This initiative, which is a key part of the nationwide celebrations, encourages every household to hoist the national flag, fostering a deep sense of belonging and pride among citizens.

She highlighted the importance of meticulous coordination and planning to make this year’s Independence Day celebrations a grand success, ensuring that the spirit of independence resonates throughout the state.

The meeting concluded with a call to action from Padhee, who urged all ULBs to work diligently, ensuring that every corner of Odisha reflects the collective spirit of the nation on August 15th. This year’s Independence Day is expected to be a memorable and unifying experience for all citizens, celebrating the country’s rich heritage and shared values.
