
Bhubaneswar: In a commendable recognition of its proactive measures against cyber threats, Odisha Police has been honored with the Award of Excellence for its Cyber Safety Campaign 2023 at the Future Crime Summit held in New Delhi.
Mr. Shefeen Ahmed, Inspector General of Police (IGP), CID, Crime Branch, graciously accepted the award, acknowledging Odisha Police’s remarkable contributions to combating cybercrime on behalf of the Odisha Director General of Police (DGP).
The Cyber Safety Campaign in Odisha was launched with the primary objective of raising awareness and educating the public about the various dimensions of cybercrime, with a strong emphasis on self-protection. The 15-day campaign successfully reached over 50,000 students and 1 lakh households, delivering crucial insights on cyber safety. As part of the initiative, a series of engaging online and offline activities, including painting, slogan writing, reel/video making, quiz, and wall graffiti competitions, were organized to enhance public understanding and participation in the campaign.
