Odisha Inaugurates 58 Digital LED Video Walls to Empower Farmers

Bhubaneswar: In a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming agriculture, the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment today inaugurated 58 Outdoor Digital LED Video Walls across district headquarters and sub-divisional levels in the state. The event was led by Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who virtually inaugurated the Video Walls from Krushi Samiksha Kendra (KSK) at Krushi Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.

The virtual inauguration saw the presence of Principal Secretary of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (DA&FE), Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee; Director of the Department of Agriculture & Food Production, Shree Prem Chandra Chaudhary, along with other senior officials of the department. Farmers, farmer representatives, organizations, and district-level officials participated virtually from their respective districts and sub-divisions.

Dr. Padhee extended a warm welcome to all participants, emphasizing the significance of the LED walls in enhancing information dissemination to farmers. Shree Chaudhary highlighted that the LED walls are a response to requests from district and sub-division officials seeking effective communication mediums for farmers across the state. The new LED walls will serve as a vital tool in broadcasting critical agricultural information and government initiatives.

During the event, Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo interacted with farmers and district officials, discussing the current communication status and challenges faced in various districts. He congratulated the Agriculture Department on this innovative step, stressing the importance of maintaining connectivity and closing communication gaps to ensure the long-lasting effectiveness of the initiative. He urged district officials to cooperate fully with the Agriculture Department to facilitate smooth information dissemination, adding, “I pray to Lord Jagannath for the prosperity of the Agriculture Department.”

The installation of these digital LED walls is expected to play a crucial role in raising awareness among farmers about various government initiatives and policies. By enabling real-time sharing of vital information, these video walls will have a significant impact on the farming community, showcasing best practices and key messages to a broader audience.
