Odisha Govt Launches Probe into Alleged Irregularities in OSSSC Recruitment Exam 2024

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has initiated an investigation into allegations of irregularities in the Computer-Based Recruitment Examination 2024, conducted by the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).

The move comes after several candidates raised concerns about potential unfair practices in the recruitment process. The examination, held in September, was conducted for various posts, including Revenue Inspector, Assistant Revenue Inspector, AMIN, Supervisor, and Statistical Field Surveyor.

A press release from the Department of Public Administration and Public Grievances confirmed that senior officials are thoroughly examining the examination process and related statistics to address the concerns raised by candidates. The department reassured the public that the government is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.

The statement added, “The government will take appropriate decisions soon based on the findings of the investigation.”

In recent weeks, hundreds of aspirants have been demanding the cancellation of the examination, alleging irregularities and a lack of transparency in the selection process. The government’s decision to launch a formal probe has provided some assurance to the candidates that their grievances are being taken seriously.
