Odisha FC Women’s Team Receives Congratulations from FIFA for Winning IWL

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC Women has garnered praise from FIFA for their remarkable triumph in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2023-24 season. Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, extended his congratulations to Odisha FC in a letter addressed to Kalyan Chaubey, the President of All India Football Federation (AIFF).

In the letter, Infantino lauded Odisha FC for their outstanding achievement and highlighted their significant contribution to women’s football in India. He expressed his delight in witnessing Odisha FC’s success and commended the team’s relentless efforts throughout the season.

The victory in the IWL 2023-24 has not only secured Odisha FC’s position as the league’s dominant force but has also earned them a spot in the prestigious AFC Women’s Champions League next season. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the club’s journey towards excellence in women’s football.

Odisha FC’s Women’s Team showcased exceptional performance throughout the season, clinching 10 victories with just one loss, a testament to their skill and determination on the field.
