Odisha Extends Plus III Admission Deadline to June 4 Amid Student Requests

Bhubaneswar: Responding to widespread appeals from students, parents, and guardians, the Odisha Higher Education Department has extended the deadline for submitting the Common Application Form (CAF) for Plus III undergraduate admissions through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.

Originally scheduled to close on June 1, the application deadline has now been pushed to June 4, 11:45 PM, giving students an additional three days to complete their submissions. The extension aims to ease the pressure on applicants who faced difficulties due to delayed examination results and pending document uploads.

In an official notification shared on social media, the department stated, “On the demand of several students, parents and guardians, the Higher Education Department has decided to extend the last date for submission of U.G. Common Application Form (CAF) till 4th June, 2025, 11:45 PM.”

The decision has been widely welcomed as it offers much-needed relief to thousands of aspirants struggling to meet the initial timeline. With the SAMS portal being the centralized system for undergraduate admissions in Odisha, the extended window is expected to help streamline the application process and ensure no eligible student is left out due to timing constraints.
