Bhubaneswar: In a move aimed at providing relief to consumers, the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) has announced a reduction in the retail supply tariff for the domestic category. The decision results in a 10-paise reduction in each slab of the domestic category.
It’s important to note that the retail supply tariffs for all other categories remain unchanged, as confirmed by the OERC.
Additionally, the fixed monthly charges for Below Poverty Line (BPL) consumers have been decreased from Rs 80 to Rs 70 per month.
Moreover, consumers opting for E-bills will enjoy a rebate of Rs 10 per bill, providing an incentive for the adoption of electronic billing methods.
