
Bhubaneswar: In a significant diplomatic engagement, Madan Mohan Sethi, designated Consul General of New Zealand in Auckland, met with Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, at Lok Seva Bhavan on Thursday morning. The meeting centered on strengthening ties between Odisha and New Zealand, particularly in the realm of agriculture and allied sectors.
Expressing pride in the global achievements of the Odia community, Singhdeo said, “It fills me with happiness to see our people from Odisha holding esteemed positions across the world.”
The meeting included insightful discussions on agricultural innovation, resource management, and sustainable farming practices. Sethi extended a formal invitation to Singhdeo to visit New Zealand to further explore partnership opportunities in agricultural development and allied activities.
Special Secretary of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment, Dillip Kumar Parida, was also present at the meeting, underscoring the department’s commitment to advancing Odisha’s agricultural growth through international collaboration.
