Bhubaneswar: In a bid to encourage widespread participation in the inauguration of the Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor project in Puri, Odisha government has officially declared January 17 as a public holiday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced this decision to ensure that citizens have the opportunity to engage in the significant event.
As a result, all government offices, schools, and colleges across the state will remain closed on January 17. This move is aimed at allowing the public to join in the momentous occasion and witness the unveiling of the Srimandir Parikrama project. The ceremony is expected to draw the presence of various dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Odisha.
