
Deogarh: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo reiterated the party’s commitment to provide free electricity to 90% of consumers in the state soon after assuming office for the sixth term following the ongoing twin elections.
In a video shared by senior BJD leader and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian during electioneering in Deogarh on Wednesday, the Chief Minister affirmed, “This is the guarantee of Naveen Patnaik and the Sankha symbol.”
Pandian, while addressing the gathering, expressed confidence in Naveen Patnaik’s leadership, stating, “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and your support, our beloved Chief Minister Naveen Babu will take the oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha for the sixth time on June 9.”
He further elaborated on the party’s promises, saying, “The first order to be signed by Naveen Babu after becoming the Chief Minister of Odisha for the sixth term will be to provide free electricity to 90% of people in the state. Additionally, the BJD pledges to include almost all the state’s residents in the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY). This initiative will ensure that everyone, including those in state government service, can avail the benefits of the premier health plan launched by the BJD government in Odisha.”
Concluding the video message, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasized, “This is the guarantee of Naveen Patnaik and the Sankha symbol.”
