Odisha CM Orders Immediate Assistance for Bhadrak Boy Suffering from Rare Disorder

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed the district administration of Bhadrak to provide immediate health assistance to Babuli Barik, a 14-year-old boy from Madhapur village in the Chandbali block. Babuli is suffering from a rare condition known as Traumatic Neuro Motor Disorder.

Responding to reports from various social media channels and other media sources, the Chief Minister took swift action to address the boy’s medical needs. In addition to health assistance, the Chief Minister has sanctioned an immediate relief of Rs 30,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support Babuli’s family.

Babuli’s parents, Chintamani and Jharana Barik, are financially disadvantaged and have struggled to manage their son’s medical condition. The Chief Minister’s intervention comes as a significant relief to the family, offering hope for better medical care and support.

In line with the Chief Minister’s directives, a team of doctors was dispatched to Madhapur village to assess Babuli’s condition. After a thorough examination, Babuli has been referred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack for advanced treatment.

The district administration has committed to maintaining close contact with the Barik family to ensure that Babuli receives all necessary support during his treatment.
