Odisha CM Marks Disability Day with a Commitment of Inclusivity

Bhubaneswar: On International Day for Persons with Disabilities, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi once again showcased his deep empathy and commitment to fostering an inclusive society. On Tuesday morning, he engaged directly with citizens, including those with disabilities, in a heartfelt gesture of support and recognition.

The Chief Minister began his day by welcoming individuals who had various concerns, particularly those from the differently-abled community. In a warm and personal interaction, Majhi felicitated several differently-abled individuals in honor of the special day, ensuring their voices were heard and their issues acknowledged.

Among the visitors was Sheikh Rehman, a differently-abled man from Baunsagali in Cuttack, who is embarking on an extraordinary journey from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi on a tricycle to raise awareness about the challenges faced by people with disabilities. Seeking the Chief Minister’s blessings for his journey, Rehman was met with Majhi’s heartfelt wishes, as the Chief Minister expressed his full support for the cause.

The Chief Minister’s actions reinforced his ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and ensure that every citizen, no matter their background or abilities, is given equal attention and respect. His personal engagement with the differently-abled community underscored his belief in the power of direct, compassionate leadership in making a difference in people’s lives.

Through this interaction, Majhi reiterated his dedication to creating a more inclusive society where every individual, including those with disabilities, is valued, supported, and empowered to overcome challenges and contribute meaningfully to society.
