
Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards bolstering industrial development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stones, and inaugurated several industrial units in Kalibeti near Khurda.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the New Food Park established by IDCO at Khurda, aimed at attracting prominent companies like Pepsi, Nestle, Indo Nissin, and their ancillaries. Simultaneously, he laid the foundation for a new industrial park at Kalibeti, which will host leading garment manufacturing companies such as EPIC, MAS Holdings, Indian Stitches, and others.
Notably, ten industries have already commenced the construction of their factories, marking substantial progress in the industrial landscape of the region.
Expressing his satisfaction with the developments, Chief Minister Patnaik stated that these establishments stand as a testament to the government’s dedicated efforts. The influx of these companies is expected to generate employment opportunities for thousands of youths in the state. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Khurda for their unwavering support in fostering industrial growth in the region.
In addition to the industrial initiatives, the government plans to construct large hostels for women working in the region. The construction of three such hostels is scheduled to commence soon at Deras, Kalibeti, and Bhuinpur.
The event witnessed the presence of Chairman of 5T Initiatives & Nabin Odisha, Shri Kartik Pandian, senior industry leaders, and officials from the Government of Odisha.
