Bhubaneswar: In preparation for the impending Cyclone ‘Dana,’ Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed ministers to oversee cyclone management efforts in districts likely to be impacted by the severe storm. The Chief Minister’s move aims to ensure a coordinated and effective response to mitigate the potential damage caused by the cyclone.
Under the directive, the ministers have been assigned specific districts to supervise relief and rescue operations:
These ministers will coordinate with district administrations to ensure timely evacuation, effective shelter management, and post-cyclone restoration efforts. Cyclone Dana is expected to make landfall between Puri and Sagar Island on the night of October 24 or early morning of October 25, bringing strong winds and heavy rainfall.
