
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan jointly inaugurated the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Bellevue Square in Cuttack on Tuesday.
The statue, skillfully crafted under the guidance of artist Sanjib Biswal, was created by a team of 18 artisans in just 35 days. The meticulous effort and dedication put into the construction reflect the respect and admiration for Vajpayee’s leadership and vision.
The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Literature & Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, Mahanga MLA Sarada Prasad Padhan, Banki MLA Devi Ranjan Tripathy, and Salepur MLA Prasanta Behera, along with various other BJP leaders.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, while remembering the late former Minister Samir Dey, whose significant contributions played a crucial role in the statue’s creation.
