Odisha Clears ₹3,878.86 Crore Investment Proposals in Major Boost to Industrial Growth

Bhubaneswar: As the Government of Odisha led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi completes its first year in office, a defining milestone in industrial growth has marked the occasion. The 137th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS, has approved 17 new industrial projects with a total investment of ₹3,878.86 crore. These proposals are expected to generate 10,584 jobs across 11 districts, reinforcing the state’s commitment to “Samruddha Odisha by 2036.”

The latest round of approvals underscores the government’s focus on diversified and inclusive industrialization. The approved investments span key sectors including Plastics, Technical Textiles, Apparel, Electronics, Food Processing, Renewable Energy, Tourism, Logistics, Chemicals, and Steel. Together, these sectors represent Odisha’s growing appeal as a destination for sustainable and value-driven industrial expansion.

The plastics sector continues to show strong investor confidence, with six major proposals cleared. Greenwave Circularity Private Limited will invest ₹650.23 crore in Khordha to establish a large-scale facility for recycled flakes, pellets, and resin, creating 600 jobs. Gurumaharaj Mining & Industries Private Limited will manufacture underground pipelines (UGPL) with a ₹239.07 crore unit, also in Khordha, providing employment to 860 people. Cuttack will host a ₹175 crore plastic products unit by The Supreme Industries Limited, generating 165 jobs, while Jagatsinghpur will see Lucro Plastecycle Private Limited set up a ₹100 crore post-consumer plastic recycled granules unit, creating 1,615 jobs. Royal Touch Fablon Private Limited will invest ₹60.78 crore in Balasore to produce PP woven sacks and bags, generating 600 jobs.

In textiles and apparel, MAS India Clothing Private Limited will establish a ₹885 crore fabric processing mill in Khordha, bringing 1,700 employment opportunities. Isolloyd Engineering Technologies Limited will build a ₹51 crore ceramic fibre unit in Jajpur, adding 175 jobs in the technical textile segment.

The Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector received a boost with Heraeus Technologies India Private Limited’s ₹188.46 crore advanced manufacturing facility for metallurgical sensors in Khordha, promising 400 jobs. Addsoft Technologies Pvt Ltd will invest ₹112 crore in Cuttack to manufacture LED TVs, IoT devices, and interactive panels, creating 330 jobs.

In food processing, Ganesh Consumer Products Limited will set up a 48,000 TPA roller flour mill in Khordha with an investment of ₹52.38 crore, creating 110 jobs. Meanwhile, Ranisati Green Biofuels Private Limited will establish a 100 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant in Boudh with a ₹110 crore investment, expected to generate 260 jobs.

In renewable energy, Iron Triangle Limited will invest ₹310.75 crore in a 200 MWh battery energy storage system in Balangir, aligning with the state’s push for clean energy and creating 128 jobs.

The steel sector saw Samaleshwari Ferrometals Private Limited receive approval for a ₹400 crore expansion project in Sambalpur to transform a sponge iron facility into a 0.5 MTPA integrated steel plant, generating 350 jobs.

Tourism will also benefit with Raysons Enterprises Private Limited investing ₹53 crore in “Mayfair Hideout,” an eco-resort in Puri district, expected to employ 116 people. The project supports Odisha’s vision of sustainable, high-end tourism development.

Logistics and infrastructure saw two major approvals. Alpha Coal Beneficiation and Infrastructure LLP will invest ₹217.40 crore in a private freight terminal and coal washery under the Gati Shakti Scheme in Sundargarh, creating 400 jobs. Bhubaneswar Logipark Private Limited will develop a ₹218.80 crore logistics park in Khurda, set to create 2,700 jobs and significantly enhance the state’s supply chain infrastructure.

In the chemicals sector, Special Blasts Limited will set up an explosives manufacturing unit in Angul with a ₹54.99 crore investment, adding 75 jobs.
