Odisha Cabinet Gives Nod to 10 Development Proposals Across Key Sectors

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved a series of proposals aimed at boosting infrastructure development, industrial expansion, tourism promotion and public service delivery across the state.

The decisions were taken during the 41st meeting of the State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan. The meeting reviewed proposals from multiple departments before granting approval to 10 key initiatives.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg said the approved proposals cover a wide range of sectors that are critical to Odisha’s development agenda, including industry, urban infrastructure, water resources, tourism and revenue administration.

Of the total proposals approved, four were related to the Housing and Urban Development Department, two each belonged to the Industries Department and the Water Resources Department, while one proposal each was cleared for the Revenue Department and the Tourism Department.

The Cabinet decisions are expected to facilitate the implementation of several major projects and policy initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, strengthening public services and creating a conducive environment for investment and economic growth.

Officials said the approved proposals align with the government’s efforts to modernise urban infrastructure, improve resource management and enhance opportunities for industrial and tourism development across different regions of the state.

The decisions also reflect the state’s focus on creating long-term assets and strengthening institutional mechanisms to support sustainable growth and improved governance.

Detailed orders and implementation guidelines for the approved proposals will be issued by the respective departments in the coming days, paving the way for their execution at the field level.

The Cabinet meeting forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to accelerate development projects and ensure effective implementation of initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life and expanding economic opportunities for people across Odisha.
