Odisha Athletes Shine with Silver at National Junior Athletics Championship

Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable display of talent, Odisha athletes earned two silver medals at the 39th National Junior Athletics Championship held at the Kalinga Stadium on Monday evening.

Sabita Toppo secured silver in the Women’s Under-20 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.17 seconds. The gold medal went to Maharashtra’s Crystal Vadakel, who completed the race in 14.10 seconds, while Tamil Nadu’s Yamini Karthikeyan claimed bronze with a time of 14.56 seconds.

The second silver medal for Odisha was won by Astik Pradhan in the Men’s Under-20 400m. Pradhan clocked 46.97 seconds, finishing in second place. Delhi’s Jay Kumar clinched the gold with a time of 46.29 seconds, and Kerala’s Arjun Pradeep took home the bronze in 47.61 seconds.
