
Bhubaneswar: The Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department of Odisha has appointed seven newly inducted IAS officers from the 2023 batch as Executive Officers for various municipalities across the state. These appointments are part of the officers’ district training program, aimed at providing practical governance experience in urban local bodies (ULBs).
According to the notification issued by the H&UD department, Ashni AL has been appointed as the Executive Officer of Rairangpur Municipality in Mayurbhanj district. Ashni will assume this role with financial authority from October 27 to November 17.
Tejaswini Behera has been posted as the Executive Officer of Talcher Municipality in Angul district, while Abhishek Dilip will take on the role of Executive Officer for Jaleswar Municipality in Balasore district.

To ensure a smooth transition, the current Executive Officers of these municipalities will continue serving as Additional Executive Officers during the probationary period of the newly appointed IAS officers. This arrangement is intended to support the leadership development of the officers while maintaining continuity in municipal governance.
