Odisha Achieves Milestone in Vision 2036 & 2047 with Over 3 Lakh Citizen Inputs

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha proudly announces a significant achievement in its Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047 initiative, having received over 3 lakh citizen inputs through various channels including email, WhatsApp, and the dedicated Odisha Vision website from both India and abroad.

This massive public engagement reflects Odisha’s leadership in participatory governance, with a shared goal of building a Vikasit Odisha for a Vikasit Bharat.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his gratitude to all contributors, saying, “Thank you, Odisha, for coming forward with valued inputs for shaping Odisha’s future.” The CM highlighted the state’s commitment to incorporating the voices of its citizens in shaping a comprehensive and inclusive development strategy.

For the first time in India, Odisha has adopted Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to rigorously review and analyze citizen suggestions. This step ensures that every voice is considered, and the best ideas are seamlessly integrated into the state’s strategic roadmap.

Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also lauded this initiative, emphasizing the power of collective effort in achieving a prosperous Odisha.

The Odisha Vision Citizen Engagement Platform has facilitated contributions from a wide range of stakeholders, including students, professionals, government officials, organizations, and eminent personalities. These inputs span 17 transformative thematic areas, forming the foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth in the state.

Key focus areas include:

  • Agriculture & Rural Development: Climate-smart agriculture, enhanced irrigation, and improved market linkages.
  • Sustainable Mining Practices: Emphasis on environmental sustainability and community welfare.
  • Women-led Growth: Promotion of women entrepreneurs and fostering gender equity.
  • Tourism & Heritage: Development of eco and cultural tourism with strategic infrastructure.
  • Urban Development: Advancing smart cities and sustainable urbanization.
  • Climate Resilience: Strengthening disaster preparedness and adopting renewable energy solutions.

Through these dedicated efforts, Odisha is on a transformative journey towards becoming a leader in innovative, inclusive, and sustainable development.
