Odia Filmmaker’s Documentary “Arribada: The Circle of Life” Nominated for CMS Vatavaran Green Frames Award

Bhubaneswar: Celebratin a triumph for Odisha’s filmmaking landscape, the documentary “Arribada: The Circle of Life,” produced by Vishwajeet Dash, the visionary behind JustVish Creative Studios, has been nominated for the Best Short Film in the Professional Filmmakers & Film Studios category at the prestigious CMS Vatavaran Green Frames awards. CMS Vatavaran stands as a premier international film festival and forum devoted to environmental and wildlife themes, known for hosting Asia’s Biggest Green Film Festival.

The documentary transports its audience on a captivating odyssey to Rushikulya, Odisha, and Gajlibagh, Goa, capturing the annual marvel of Arribada—a mass nesting event of Olive Ridley turtles. With breathtaking cinematography and compelling storytelling, the film unravels the lives of these extraordinary creatures, shedding light on their remarkable journey to lay eggs and the challenges posed by a rapidly changing world. Adding to its distinction, the documentary features a narration by Sir David Attenborough, paying homage to his profound influence on generations of natural history filmmakers and wildlife enthusiasts.
