Bhubaneswar: With the CBSE Board Examinations approaching, a high-level review-cum-preparatory meeting was held to ensure smooth and effective conduct of the examinations across Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs). The meeting was chaired by Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School & Mass Education Department, and conducted in virtual mode with the participation of Principals from OAVs across the State.

During the interaction, Dr. Naik reviewed the performance of OAVs in previous CBSE examinations and emphasised the need for focused academic planning and administrative preparedness to further improve student outcomes in the current academic session. He directed all Principals to adopt result-oriented strategies, strengthen academic support systems and ensure strict adherence to CBSE guidelines.

In the 2025–26 academic session, around 17,041 students from 250 OAVs will appear for the CBSE Class X examinations, while 4,747 students from 214 OAVs will take the Class XII (Science) examinations. To facilitate the examination process, 73 OAVs have been designated as CBSE examination centres across the State.

Addressing the meeting, Dr. Naik said the CBSE Board Examinations mark a crucial phase in students’ academic journeys and underscored the Department’s commitment to conducting the examinations in a smooth, fair and transparent manner. He instructed school authorities to ensure proper logistical arrangements, examination security, student counselling and support mechanisms, besides maintaining a conducive environment for stress-free examinations.

The meeting was attended by the State Project Director (SPD), OAVS; Additional Secretary, School & Mass Education Department; Joint Director, OAVS; Deputy Director, OAVS, and other senior officials. With coordinated planning, administrative vigilance and academic focus, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas are set to ensure the successful and efficient conduct of the CBSE Board Examinations across the State.
