NPTI and PTC India Join Forces to Establish Centre of Excellence for Energy Research and Development

New Delhi:   The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and PTC India Ltd. have formalized a collaborative venture by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  to bolster research and development efforts in the energy sector. The agreement aims to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to advancing research and development in the energy domain, with a specific focus on promoting sustainable development goals.

The MoU signing ceremony took place on March 28th, 2024, at the Ministry of Power’s office in New Delhi. The agreement was inked by Dr. Tripta Thakur, Director General of NPTI, and Ms. Koel Singhal, Senior Vice President (HR) of PTC India Ltd. This significant moment was witnessed by Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

Under this collaboration, NPTI and PTC India Limited will pool their expertise and resources to undertake research, development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives through the newly established CoE. One of the primary objectives of the CoE will be to foster innovation and technological advancements in the energy sector that align with the principles of sustainable development.

The outcomes of the CoE’s research and development endeavors will be disseminated to various stakeholders in the power sector through comprehensive training and capacity-building programs. This dissemination process aims to ensure that the insights and innovations generated by the CoE translate into tangible benefits for the industry as a whole.
