
NITI Aayog CEO Meets Odisha CM: Collaborative Effort for Vision Documents
Bhubaneswar: Under the direction of Prime Minister, NITI Aayog has pledged its support to Odisha in crafting a Vision Document aimed at achieving a prosperous Bikasita Odisha. The CEO of NITI Aayog, B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, met with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lokseva Bhawan to discuss this grand strategy.
During their discussions, Chief Minister Shri Majhi highlighted Odisha’s vast potential across various sectors and emphasized the importance of harnessing this potential to meet the ambitious goals set for 2036 and 2047. “Odisha aims to significantly contribute to India’s growth and become a growth engine by 2047,” he stated. “Our target is a $500 billion economy by 2036, marking 100 years since the state’s formation, and to reach a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047.”
NITI Aayog CEO Shri Subrahmanyam reiterated the Prime Minister’s special focus on Odisha’s development, stating, “Every state needs to grow exceptionally to achieve the goal of Bikasita Bharat. For Odisha, we will support the preparation of two vision documents, one for 2036 and another for 2047.”
A key outcome of the discussion was the decision to form a Steering Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary. This committee will draft a roadmap for the vision within three months. Public outreach programs will be launched to gather opinions and suggestions to achieve the goal of Bikasita Odisha. Additionally, an action plan will be developed to implement initiatives aligned with the vision.
Prior to the meeting with the CM, the NITI Aayog CEO and his team held extensive discussions with the Secretaries and senior officers of all departments.
