NFDC Announces Lucrative Cashback Incentives for Diverse Film Categories

New Delhi: The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) is delighted to unveil an array of enticing cashback incentives across a broad spectrum of film and production categories. Filmmakers venturing into feature films, web shows or series, animation series, and documentaries are eligible to benefit from these lucrative incentives.

A notable feature of this incentive program is its hassle-free approach for pure animation and post-production projects, which do not require any prior permission to apply. This streamlined process aims to facilitate and expedite creative endeavors in these specific domains, fostering innovation and promoting Indian Intellectual Property (IP).

India, with its diverse locations, world-class cinematic talent, and state-of-the-art facilities, has now added the allure of attractive financial benefits. Filmmakers are encouraged to seize this opportunity and transform their cinematic vision into reality.

For filmmakers seeking to explore the vast landscape of India for their projects, the Film Facilitation Office India serves as the primary point of contact. The FFO consistently collaborates with nodal officers in each state of India to simplify the permissions process, ensuring a seamless experience for filmmakers.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, established the FFO within NFDC to facilitate and promote film shootings by both foreign and Indian filmmakers in the country. The FFO operates as a single-window facilitation and clearance mechanism, streamlining the filming process and nurturing a film-friendly ecosystem. As part of its initiatives, the institution of the ‘Most Film Friendly State’ Award recognizes states that actively promote and facilitate filmmaking. Past winners include Gujarat (2015), Uttar Pradesh (2016), Madhya Pradesh (2017), Uttarakhand (2018), and Sikkim (2019).

NFDC, with its extensive financial support to over 300 films in 21 Indian languages, plays a pivotal role in creating a platform for the global and domestic appreciation of quality cinema. Beyond film production, NFDC has been a driving force in establishing an ecosystem that supports the development, financing, and distribution of independent films across the country.
