
New Delhi: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), successfully launched the first episode of its weekly live series, Ask Our Experts, on October 18. This debut episode spotlighted DigiLocker, India’s leading digital wallet solution, providing a secure platform for citizens to store and access important documents online.
The series, streamed live on Digital India’s official YouTube channel, aims to foster engagement between citizens and government officials, allowing the public to ask questions directly and seek clarifications on various Digital India initiatives. The inaugural episode focused on DigiLocker, a flagship e-Governance platform that has transformed how citizens store and share their documents digitally.
During the episode, experts provided a detailed presentation on DigiLocker’s functionalities and benefits. They explained how the platform empowers users by offering a cloud-based solution for storing and verifying documents, simplifying tasks like sharing certificates for job applications, educational admissions, and more. The platform is part of the broader Digital India Programme aimed at promoting the use of digital tools for public convenience.
The live broadcast saw enthusiastic participation from thousands of viewers across the country, with citizens posing numerous questions to the panel of experts. Nine particularly active participants were recognized as “Digital India Question Ninjas” for their insightful contributions and will be rewarded for their engagement.
This new series promises to demystify key projects under the Digital India initiative, offering an interactive space for people to learn more about the government’s digital services. Viewers also have a chance to win special Digital India gift hampers for their active participation.
