New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the rescheduling of the NEET PG 2024 examination to August 11, 2024. Originally slated for June 23, 2024, the postponement was officially communicated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
NEET PG is a critical national-level entrance examination for admission to various postgraduate medical courses, including post-MBBS DNB courses, post-MBBS direct 6-year DrNB courses, and NBEMS diploma courses across medical colleges nationwide.
The NBEMS, operating under the Health Ministry, is tasked with conducting postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialties. These exams lead to the award of the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), respectively.
The board also addressed concerns over fraudulent activities targeting NEET-PG aspirants. NBEMS has warned candidates about individuals attempting to sell exam questions in exchange for money. Legal action has been taken against such fraudsters, and candidates are advised to avoid engaging in such activities, with the board emphasizing the severe consequences of involvement in these scams.
