NCGG Concludes 3rd Batch of Internship Programme 2024

New Delhi: The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) successfully concluded its 3rd batch of the Internship Programme 2024 at the New Delhi campus. This initiative, aimed at providing young and postgraduate scholars with opportunities to undertake research, critical studies, documentation, and dissemination of best practices, has established a platform for wider dissemination and the development of a national repository.

The 3rd batch of the NCGG Internship Programme attracted over 3,550 applications from across the country. Following a rigorous selection process involving seven rounds of interviews, 17 interns were chosen based on their academic achievements and dedication to their respective fields. These interns, representing diverse disciplines such as public policy, development, law, governance, and climate change, hailed from esteemed institutions including the University of Delhi, IIM Shillong, IIT Kanpur, and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Their research was guided by senior professors from prominent institutions like IIPA, JNU, and Jamia Millia Islamia, who served as mentors.

During the concluding session, 17 research papers were presented on contemporary areas of good governance, including financial literacy initiatives, forecasting electric vehicle demand, digital currency transition in India, reforming public services, e-governance in tertiary health care, and analysis of health insurance schemes under the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.

The overall programme was coordinated by Dr. Gazala Hasan, Course Coordinator and Assistant Professor at NCGG, with assistance from Akash Sikdar and the NCGG team. The impactful research papers produced during the internship will be compiled into a comprehensive compendium, accessible to the public via publication on the NCGG’s official website.
