Naveen Patnaik Announces Rs 453.5 Cr Assistance For Mission Shakti Members

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced an assistance of Rs 453.5 crore for women members of Mission Shakti in the state.

As per the announcement, 338 block-level Mission Shakti associations in the state will receive Rs 50 lakh each for construction of their own Mission Shakti Bhawans, which can be used as training centres/ business centres by the women self help groups (SHG).

Appreciating the work of Mission Shakti, the Chief Minister said that SHG has been doing good works and giving better livelihood options. He also appreciated members for their contribution in COVID-19 management in health centers, manufacturing masks, creating awareness among the people among others.

This apart, chief minister also announced Rs 84.50 crore as revolving fund for help in doing business and Rs 200 crore as interest subvention for repayment of loans have been sanctioned for them.
