
Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Supremo Naveen Patnaik unveiled the party’s roster for the upcoming Odisha Assembly elections, announcing six prominent candidates to represent key constituencies. In a strategic move aimed at fortifying the party’s presence across the state, Patnaik revealed the names of the chosen contenders today.
Among the selected candidates, Mahesh Sahu emerges as a significant contender for the Hindol constituency, while Tusharkanti Behera secures his candidacy for Kakatpur. The list also includes Archanarekha Behera, slated to contest from Raghunathpali.
Further bolstering the BJD’s electoral front, Sarada Jena is set to vie for victory in Balikuda-Ersama, while Ranjita Marndi aims to clinch the seat in Bangiriposi, Biswaranjan Mallick, the party’s nominee for the Bari constituency.
