Naval Investiture Ceremony 2024 to Honor Exceptional Naval Personnel

New Delhi: The Naval Investiture Ceremony 2024 is set to take place at INS Hansa, Goa on April 14, 2024, to recognize and honor Naval personnel for their outstanding contributions and service to the nation. The ceremony will be presided over by Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), who will confer prestigious awards on behalf of the Hon’ble President of India.

The ceremony will felicitate individuals who have demonstrated gallantry, exceptional leadership, professional excellence, and distinguished service of a high order. Recipients will be presented with a range of awards, including Nao Sena Medals for Gallantry, Nao Sena Medals for Devotion to Duty, and Vishisht Seva Medals.

In addition to these honors, the CNS will also present the Capt Ravi Dhir Memorial Gold Medal for promoting Flight Safety and the Lt VK Jain Memorial Gold Medal for pioneering research in the field of Weapon Improvement and Electrical Engineering. Unit Citations will also be awarded to various deserving units during the ceremony.

The event will commence with a ceremonial parade, showcasing the discipline and precision for which the Indian Navy is renowned. It will be attended by the spouses and family members of the awardees, along with several senior officials of the Indian Navy.

To ensure wider participation and viewership, the ceremony will be live-streamed over the ‘Indian Navy YouTube’ Channel starting from 5:00 PM on April 14, 2024.
