National Youth Parliament Festival 2024: Shaping Young Voices for Nation’s Transformation

New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports marked a significant milestone with the inaugural ceremony of the finals of the National Youth Parliament Festival 2024, held today at the Parliament. The grand event, aimed at engaging and empowering the youth for the nation’s transformation, witnessed enthusiastic participation from young voices across the country. The Valedictory Function is scheduled to take place on March 6, 2024, in the Central Hall of the Parliament, New Delhi.

During the inaugural function, Secretary, Youth Affairs, Meeta Rajivlochan, emphasized India’s legacy of being led by youth, asserting that the future of the nation lies in the hands of its young population. She highlighted the active participation of Indian youth in various fields and the remarkable response to the MY Bharat platform, with around 1.5 crore youth registering within just three months of its launch.

The National Youth Parliament Festival, 2024, revolves around the theme of ‘Young Voices: Engage and Empower for Nation’s Transformation.’ Spanning from February 9, 2024, to March 6, 2024, the festival has been organized at three levels, covering 785 districts across the country.

The District Youth Parliament, held from February 9 to February 14, 2024, served as the initial phase, leading to the State Youth Parliament from February 19 to February 24, 2024. The winners of the District Youth Parliament-2024 advanced to the state level, showcasing their oratory skills and knowledge on various topics.

A total of 87 State-level winners, representing the best of young talent, will converge in New Delhi for the finals of the National Youth Parliament-2024. Among the participants, 29 first position holders from each State Youth Parliament will actively speak on designated topics, while the remaining 58 will attend as part of the audience.
