MPLADS e-SAKSHI Mobile App Launched by MoSPI to Transform MP Engagement in Development Projects

New Delhi: The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Rao Inderjit Singh, unveiled the MPLADS e-SAKSHI Mobile Application today at Khurshid Lal Bhawan, New Delhi. Attended by eminent dignitaries, including the Chief Statistician of India-cum-Secretary, Additional Secretary, and senior officers of the Ministry, along with officials from SBI and TCS, the launch marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

The MPLADS Scheme aims to empower Members of Parliament (MPs) to recommend developmental works that focus on creating durable community assets aligned with local needs. The revised guidelines for the MPLADS Scheme intend to expand its scope, allowing MPs to recommend developmental projects that adapt to evolving community requirements. The emphasis is on enhancing the functioning, implementation, and monitoring aspects of the MPLADS scheme.

The newly launched e-SAKSHI mobile application is set to revolutionize the engagement of MPs in managing and overseeing development projects in their constituencies. This mobile app promises convenience and accessibility, enabling MPs to propose, track, and monitor projects seamlessly. The real-time access provided by the application facilitates swift decision-making, allowing MPs to respond promptly to emerging needs or challenges. The application is designed to enhance communication between MPs and relevant authorities, fostering a more efficient exchange of information.
