Attended by eminent dignitaries, including the Chief Statistician of India-cum-Secretary, Additional Secretary, and senior officers of the Ministry, along with officials from SBI and TCS, the launch marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).
The MPLADS Scheme aims to empower Members of Parliament (MPs) to recommend developmental works that focus on creating durable community assets aligned with local needs. The revised guidelines for the MPLADS Scheme intend to expand its scope, allowing MPs to recommend developmental projects that adapt to evolving community requirements.
