Monsoon: Yellow Warning Issued In Odisha for Three Days

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha would receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next three day due to low over South Jharkhand and neighbourhood.The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, has issued a yellow warning for several districts till June 17 morning.

In a bulletin IMD stated, “Yesterday’s Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha & Gangetic West Bengal, now lies over South Jharkhand and neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid-tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height. It is likely to move west northwestwards.”

“Under its influence widespread light to moderate rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely to occur during next 24 hours and thereafter fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall will continue due to monsoon flows,” the weather bulletin stated.

Yellow Warning (Day-1): 

Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bolangir & Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur & Boudh, Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Puri

Yellow Warning (Day-2):

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur & Bargarh, Bolangir & Sonepur & Angul and Deogarh. 

 

Yellow Warning (Day-3): 

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Sambalpur.
