New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Mr. Lalduhawma, currently on an official visit to the national capital, held a crucial meeting with Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Space, and Atomic Energy, Dr. Jitendra Singh. The discussions, held in New Delhi today, covered a spectrum of state-related issues, with a particular focus on the placement of civil servants and officers in Mizoram.
During the meeting, Dr. Jitendra Singh conveyed that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi places the highest priority on the development of the North Eastern Region, emphasizing equitable progress across all eight states. Singh also recalled the establishment of a specialized “Citrus Fruit Park,” one of the first Centres of Excellence in the subcontinent, in collaboration with Israel. This initiative, he noted, is set to significantly boost horticulture, revenue, and employment in Mizoram, reflecting the Modi government’s dedication to promoting growth in smaller states.
