Ministry of Civil Aviation Hosts Luncheon to Honor Women Achievers in Aviation

New Delhi: In a momentous gathering under the initiative “The President with the People,” President Droupadi Murmu interacted with 51 remarkable women achievers in the civil aviation sector during a luncheon hosted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The event brought together pilots, cabin crew, flight dispatchers, air traffic controllers, maintenance engineers, airport managers, and regulators, celebrating their contributions and successes in a traditionally male-dominated field.

During the gathering, the minister engaged with the women, listening to their inspiring success stories and acknowledging their perseverance, dedication, hard work, and resilience. He encouraged the achievers to share their experiences and messages with young women in small and remote areas, aiming to motivate the next generation to pursue careers in aviation.

“This event, which unites pioneering women in civil aviation, holds exceptional significance as we honor those who have dared to defy stereotypes, conquer challenges, and inspire a generation by rising to leadership in a field traditionally dominated by men,” said Minister Naidu, emphasizing the importance of female representation in the sector.

Civil Aviation Secretary Shri Vumlunmang Vualnam and other senior officials from the Ministry were also present, underscoring the government’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowerment within the aviation industry.
