
Minister Giriraj Singh to Inaugurate Bhumi Samvaad VIII: National Conference on Land Management Modernization
New Delhi: Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Giriraj Singh, is set to inaugurate the two-day Bhumi Samvaad VIII: National Conference of State Revenue / Registration Secretaries and Inspector General of Registration (IGR) on “Sharing of Best Practices in Land Management Modernization” on 8th February 2024 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. The conference, organized by the Department of Land Resources, will witness the participation of state delegations comprising officers from Revenue and Registration Departments, IGR, representatives from key Central Ministries/Departments, and other stakeholders.
The conference will address several themes related to best practices in modernizing land management, including the impact of Land Records Digitization on reducing processes, time, cost, visits to offices, revenue court litigations, and enhancing Ease of Living in land-related services. Discussions will also focus on Bhu-Aadhar or ULPIN Generation, Auto Mutation in Land Management, the impact of digitization on reducing litigation, the use of digitized land records for credit access, and innovative technologies in land records and property registration.
The event aims to bring together diverse speakers and participants from various stakeholder groups, fostering the exchange of knowledge, showcasing innovations, sharing successful case studies, identifying solutions, discussing future strategies, and providing mutual learning opportunities. The conference is expected to contribute to the advancement of land management practices across sectors at both the central and state/UT levels.
