Bhubaneswar: A groundbreaking ceremony for a mega solar power equipment manufacturing complex was held today in Dhenkanal district of Odisha, marking the commencement of a significant industrial development. WAAREE Energies Limited will establish this facility at Neulopoi, with a substantial investment of Rs 25,000 crore.

The Bhoomi Pujan was attended by key dignitaries including Dhenkanal MLA and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, WAAREE Energies Limited Director Hitesh Mehta, and other officials. This solar equipment manufacturing complex, poised to be the largest in Eastern India, will be spread across approximately 600 acres of land.

Expected to generate employment opportunities for around 14,000 people, the complex will manufacture solar panels, modules, and other essential solar equipment. Additionally, WAAREE Energies Limited will produce 6 GW of solar power at the site.

“This solar power equipment manufacturing complex will significantly contribute to the development of Dhenkanal district. Local youths will benefit from the substantial job opportunities provided by this mega project,” said Minister Krushna Chandra Patra.

Director Hitesh Mehta shared that production at the facility is set to commence within 24 months, adding that the complex will create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities. “Over the next five years, around 14,000 people are expected to be employed at this state-of-the-art solar manufacturing facility,” he said.
