
Phulbani: In a resounding success, the Mega Job Fair 2024 hosted at Kandhamal Stadium on January 21 witnessed a remarkable turnout, with around 13,500 youths securing job offers. The initiative was led by Kandhamal MP Dr Achyuta Samanta, in collaboration with KIIT and with the support of the district administration.
Odisha-based companies hired 3,500 youths, while a significant number of 10,000 job aspirants found opportunities with firms from other states. The job fair, which aimed to empower the local youth with employment opportunities, drew participants from across the Kandhamal parliamentary constituency, covering 12 blocks of Kandhamal, 3 blocks of Boudh and Nayagarh, and 2 blocks of Ganjam district.
A total of 40 companies from Odisha, along with more than 80 firms and industrial houses from other states, actively participated in the fair, showcasing diverse employment prospects. Salaries offered ranged from Rs 12,000 to Rs 35,000, catering to candidates spanning from class 5 students to postgraduates, B.Tech, MBA, and Law graduates.
