Maiden India Navy Half Marathon Rescheduled to 02 Feb 2025

New Delhi: The inaugural India Navy Half Marathon, initially scheduled for October 6, 2024, will now take place on February 2, 2025. This event aims to strengthen the Navy’s ties with civil society while raising awareness about the Navy’s crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime security and interests.

The marathon will promote health and fitness among participants from all walks of life, encouraging them to engage in various physical activities and adopt an active lifestyle for overall well-being. By highlighting values such as gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusivity, the event underscores the Navy’s commitment to fostering a culture of inclusiveness and equal opportunity for all.

The event is designed to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing camaraderie and competition. It aims to strengthen bonds among people in the National Capital Region (NCR) and beyond while encouraging the youth to consider an adventurous career in the Indian Navy.

Participants can look forward to a range of races, including a Half Marathon (21.1 km), a 10 km run, and a 5 km run, catering to various age groups and fitness levels. This marathon is envisioned as an annual event, complementing similar events organized by the Navy each year in Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, and Kochi.
