Light and Sound Show at Maa Samaleswari Temple Inaugurated

Sambalpur: On the occasion of Nuakhai, a popular agricultural festival of western Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Light and Sound show at Maa Samaleswari temple today.

Inaugurating the show, he said,” The show would introduce the devotees to the glorious history of Sambalpur and Odisha.”

In a bid to promote the cultural and heritage of western Odisha, the department of Tourism has envisaged the show.

The light and sound show would visually showcase the history of Maa Samaleswari Temple and the culture, art and heritage associated with the temple.

The project has been set up at an investment of Rs 7.48 crore  which included setting up of light & sound show infrastructure, story visualization along with the installation of a 100 KVA substation. 

The 36-minute light and sound show will be in both Oriya and Hindi.
